released from the juvenile hall)
- Volunteer facilitator for Challenge Day middle- and high- school programs (taking a stand to stop the violence, abuse, alienation and isolation that not only led to the Columbine tragedy, but also continue to profoundly affect the youths of our society today)
- Chairing the board of the School for Independent Learners that gives individualized educational support to youths for whom mainstream education falls short
